Need a hug today? Hear a story about our family’s words of comfort! Then let me know what yours are. Visit with me, on my back porch, today! Are you sheltering at home? This little painting of mine is not my home, but is what I think a serene English sitting room might look like. Where is the lady of the house? Gone to get more hot water for her teapot? I would be going to get a slice of cake or a cookie! How about you? What do you take with your tea? I am thinking of you all. ❤️Nana

The Definition of an Artist

Let me ask you: does your heart beat a little faster when someone says to you, “What a great runner you are!”, or “You are the best cookie maker!”or “Wowww! You can really make a great fire in the fireplace!” What would you do if someone turned to you, looked you in the eyes, and said, with all sincerity, “You ARE an Artist!”??

What is an artist? What is the definition of an artist? Come with me, and I am going to tell you about my artist’s journey. - Nana of ChalkPastel.com

“NANA HAS A PODCAST!!! And it’s good, folks! It’s all the reasons why we cherish her. She reminds us about the good stuff. About the stuff that really matters. Even if you don’t paint with her (which, I can’t understand, but I can respect), I recommend this podcast. And, I’ll admit, hearing her talk fills up the parts of me that desperately miss my own mom and grandma. But, through Nana, I can still receive those amazing words of encouragement and lessons I crave.” – norcalcrunchymama
